Position: Sr. Business Objects Developer
Duration: 3+ months with extensions up to 12 months

Location: Secaucus NJ
Sr. Business Objects Developer for a 3+ month
contract with long term extension for a contract in Secaucus, NJ. Our client is
in the process of architecting a new DW and BI platform and will be involved in
a gradual deployment of the BI solution to key members of Business and IT.
Phase II will involve customizing and building sales reporting capability for
the business. Candidate must be client facing and be able to gather business
requirements, gather feedback on prototypes built, and aid in user adoption of
newly built reports and dashboards. Client needs a candidate that has
experience from dashboard to dimensional modeling and understanding the data
sources.
General Responsibilities:
•
Analyze reporting requirements, envision
and design and build universes IDT
•
Design and build intuitive WebI reports
with parameters, hierarchical tables breaks, linking, drilldowns
•
Establish front end navigation paths
(e.g. workspaces, url linking between reports and dashboards)
•
Build BO Dashboards
•
Ability to use BO OLAP connectivity to
SAP BW and BEx using BICS when building reports and synchronizing data with
relational unx based queries.
•
Set up access and security for object and
row level
Required
Experience:
•
Business Objects 4.0 (preferred 4.1 SP1)
•
Dashboard Designer, Webi Reports,
Universe development
•
Security set up experience
•
Excellent communication (written & Verbal)
Plus skills:
•
Retail industry experience
