Role
: Sr. SAP Basis Consultant
Job Location: Austin, TX
Duration: Long term contract
Job Description:
· Participates
in SME business communications to understand business requirements and
apply experience
· Participate
in the design and development of software solutions based on client
requirements
· Follow
instructions from Basis planning team.
· Tune,
upgrade, patch Platforms
· Perform
operational activities [SAP Basis administration] Help keeping platform up and
running.
· Works
independently as member of project team or may also lead a number SME
developers
· BASIS
experience across broad spectrum - many areas (not just 1 – e.g. job
monitoring, security, etc)
· Must have
upgrade/implementation experience in SAP Basis projects: such as Upgrades,
installation and/or support packages implementations
· Good
knowledge of UNIX
· Good
knowledge of Oracle
Strong experience on the
following areas
- SAP
upgrades
- UC
Conversions
- SAP
SP’s, EHP’s, kernel patching
- DB/OS
patching
- Strong
understanding of Oracle and DB Optimizer, SQL tuning, etc
- Language
installs
- HW
migrations
- DB
refreshes
- SAP
Security
SOFT SKILLS:
- Proficient
in English
- Good
communications skills
- Documentation
skills
- Work
with remote and multi-cultural teams
- Ability
to independently trouble-shoot operational issues and solve them
