Role : Lead-DR-Coordinator
Location : Bay Area,CA
Duration : 6months
Experience:  9 to 10 years

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for helping & coordinating the development of preparations and detailed procedures to ensure IT can respond to a disaster so that the critical business functions can be resumed within a defined time frame, the amount of loss can be minimized, and any stricken facilities can be repaired or replaced as quickly as possible.
- This responsibility includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and exercising (testing) of the overall IT disaster recovery plans for each critical functional area.
- These disaster recovery plans must address three major elements of the recovery process:
   1. Emergency Response organization (Work-place resources co-ordination) and procedures for reacting to and coordinating recovery efforts;
   2. Recovery Support procedures (Infrastructure run books) for restoring key organization resources; and
   3. Business Resumption procedures for the continuation of critical business processes.
- The Disaster Recovery Coordinator may also be responsible for participating in any actual disaster recovery effort.
     
Major Duties:
1. Helps establish disaster recovery testing methodologies; plans and coordinates the testing of recovery support and business resumption procedures in different functional areas. Assures that recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and for the resumption of critical business processes.
2. Conducts disaster recovery training for staff members in all functional areas. Provides instructional and informational materials on how staff are expected to respond during an emergency. Assists divisions in the assignment and training of staff.
3. Develops and maintains standards and procedures for disaster recovery documentation. Maintains a library of recovery support and business resumption procedures.
4. Helps develop corporate emergency response procedures; distributes and updates emergency procedures to reflect changes in staff size, location, organization.

Skills that are "Must Haves":
Strong oral and written communication skills.
*Must* have hands-on experience coordinating DR tests – not performing DR test
Disaster recovery systems/architecture experience (9-10 years)
Working knowledge of key functional areas of the organization and the ability to develop a clear understanding of the company’s key functional processes and resources.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined pre-defined measurement criteria.
Ability to conduct user workshops, define requirements, estimate, assess and plan projects, write use and business cases, and design workflow processes.
 Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, It Service operations, business process realignment and the financial and political elements of an IT organization.
Experience in business process re-engineering methods.
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and utilizing project management applications.
Strong user of Microsoft Project and Visio.
Creative approach to problem solving.

Like To Have:
CISSP/CISA/CBCP/MBCP is desirable
Participated in a datacenter migration and gained best-practices through this
Knowledge in the emerging technologies including SFDC, Hadoop, Open Compute Project (Facebook), Amazon AWS etc.
