Microstrategy Developer

Job Responsibilities:
- Gathering Requirements and Writing Specifications –
interview stakeholders and translate requirement into written requirements
documentation
- Design and Develop MicroStrategy Dashboards/Reports –
translate design documents into fully functioning dashboards/BI reports;
write SQL queries to perform necessary calculations for reports
- Support Development Team with QC/UAT – confirm
requirements are accurately translated into detailed IT specifications and
perform user acceptance testing (UAT) on new functionality
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in Database
Marketing, Campaign Management and / or building any analytics application
- Strong knowledge of BI tools, reporting and data
visualization techniques (i.e. MicroStrategy – Visual Insight, Tableau, or
other similar tools)
- Expert level SQL skills (with emphasis on data
manipulation rather than data definition) are required
- Knowledge of a BI Dashboard development environment,
especially with respect to specification development, QC and UAT
- Ability to effectively develop and communicate
data-driven insights
- Excellent verbal and written English communication
skills
- Ability and desire to learn new methods, analytic tools
and techniques on the job are necessary
- BA/BS Degree is required
