URGENT - DevOps Engineer
with OpenStack - San Jose, CA -
LOCAL CANDIDATES HIGHLY PREFERRED
Responsibilities:
·
Design, develop and operate new cloud solution based on Openstack
·
Architect and re-create software/hardware/network enterprise
configurations in the lab environment in order to come up with customer
scenarios and replicate issues.
·
Architect, implement, and support internal production, lab, development
and QA engineering infrastructure
·
Develop and implement new processes for lab operation. Review and improve
existing processes
·
Provide configurations to Customer Response Team and Support team.
·
Fulfil requests from Development and QA for creating configurations required
for product development and testing.
·
Manage lab network and systems, keep inventory and create documentation.
·
Participate in Engineering meetings, suggest product and process enhancements.
·
Work with the Lab team on other projects and perform day to day lab
tasks.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in
IT or lab environment designing, implementing and supporting heterogeneous
enterprise architectures.
· Extensive knowledge of Openstack and
other cloud platform
·
Candidate should have extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux (RedHat) platforms.
·
Deep understanding of Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint
and other Microsoft enterprise products.
·
Knowledge of Non-Microsoft products used in Enterprise environment, such as
Oracle, Apache Tomcat and HTTP servers, VMWare Virtual Infrastructure.
·
Expertise in networking and TCP/IP, including
complete understanding of the OSI model, routing, switching, DNS, HTTP, SMTP
protocols.
·
Extensive experience in debugging and finding workarounds.
·
Knowledge of any of AIX, Solaris, Citrix Presentation
Server, Xen, MS SQL, Altiris is a plus.
·
A team player who has experience and is comfortable working in a large team
environment.
·
Self-motivated with strong will to take ownership for achieving goals that are
best for customers and the company.
·
Comfortable working in a fast pasted, dynamic environment.
BS Degree or equivalent
experience.
