Job description:
Accountable for
availability, capacity and supportability of the Hadoop Platform
Plan and execute Platform upgrades and patches - eg. HDP 2.x upgrade
Plan and execute cluster capacity planning, expansion and maintenance
Responsible for ad hoc (including sandbox) user access strategy and implementation
Set standards for development, on boarding and supportability of applications on the Hadoop Platform
Set standards, checklists and best practices for Application performance management
Plan and execute Platform upgrades and patches - eg. HDP 2.x upgrade
Plan and execute cluster capacity planning, expansion and maintenance
Responsible for ad hoc (including sandbox) user access strategy and implementation
Set standards for development, on boarding and supportability of applications on the Hadoop Platform
Set standards, checklists and best practices for Application performance management
Provide requirements to
the Framework team for any features required to support monitoring, capacity
management
Job skills:
Experience in managing enterprise scale systems from an operations and infrastructure standpoint
Ability and experience in planning and managing capacity of systems
Ability to manage complex software upgrades of systems
Hadoop/Hive/HBase/Pig
