Website QA/Tester/ Content testing
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities
- This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of content and design changes in all digital channels including website by executing project testing on digital assets and website
- Independently evaluating project requests, writing test scripts (and reviewing other team members’ scripts for accuracy) to ensure all requirements are validated.
- Works with project leads and development team to review requests for clarity and completeness.
- Accurately assesses for additional impacts and possible need for regression testing to ensure overall website integrity.
- Executes testing within short and frequently changing timeframes, at a high rate of accuracy.
- Reports defects clearly and in a timely manner
- Maintains/posts testing documentation.
- Participates on project calls as a key contributor leading up to release.
- Analyzes test account data and/or project gaps, making recommendations to Testing Manager for improvement.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is an experienced website content tester with strong attention to detail and desire to continue to build on their knowledge to accurately identify testing needs/gaps.
- Previous website content testing Experience
- Good understanding of content management systems
- Experience testing business operational systems and/or e-commerce
- Localization/ globalization testing experience a plus
- Experience in CSS, Wireframes, etc
- Thorough experience in functional testing and understand the end user needs
- Understanding building accessible, cross-platform web sites and web applications
- Knowledge in several of: HTML5, XML, CSS 3, Javascript, Jquery, AJAX, Adobe Photoshop, web standards, browser compatibility/workarounds, accessibility laws and development techniques, HTTP and RESTful web services – Knowledge is sufficient
BA/BS degree or equivalent work
experience.
