AX Architect 

Job Location: Berkeley Heights NJ

Duration: 8 Plus months contract

2 position

Required:

Dynamics AX Technical Solution Architects will be responsible for managing all technical aspects during the full lifecycle of a Dynamics AX implementation.  This includes pre-sales, solution engineering, project estimation, business requirement analysis, functional design, technical design and on-going activities related to build and deployment phases of the project.  This person will have a strong overall knowledge of both the functional and technical aspects of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

Responsibilities

·         Works closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all deadlines related to technical aspects of the Dynamics AX implementation are either met or exceeded.

·         Developing customizations for pre-sales activities

·         Working closely with the infrastructure team to build hardware sizing requirements

·         Support or execution of data migrations into a Dynamics AX 2012 environment using the Microsoft Data Migration Framework or other technologies.

·         Communicate project deadlines to the Technical Consulting director and ensure that resources are scheduled to meet these deadlines.

·         Work closely with the functional team to create requirements documents that will be used by developers for customizing Dynamics AX.

·         Support developers as questions or issues arise.

·         Communicate development guidelines to both internal and external development resources

·         Monitor development activities to ensure development guidelines are being followed

·         Promote development objects during build and test activities using xpo’s, models and model Stores.

·         Document customer environment specifications

·         Communicate Dynamics AX implementation environment methodology

·         Build and/or copy new Dynamics AX environments as needed throughout the project

·         Engage the project team and end-users to architect and develop Microsoft Dynamics AX gap/fit solutions.

Qualifications

·         experience in installing and/or troubleshooting Dynamics AX

·         Knowledge of Dynamics AX Architecture (layers, models, tiers, etc)

·         Ability to install and configure Dynamics AX 2012

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Proven expertise customizing Microsoft Dynamics AX (2009 or 2012)

·         Technical experience with .NET, X++ or other OOP programming language

·         3-5 years technical experience with ERP software

·         Knowledge of finance, trade and logistics and either production or project functionality within Dynamics AX 2012.

·         Acquired Dynamics AX 2012 development certification

·         Proven project experience with AIF and/or services

·         Proven project experience modifying or creating new reports using SQL Server Reporting Services

·         Understanding of Dynamics AX 2012 data structures

·         1 full lifecycle Dynamics AX implementation

·         Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.

·         Great communication skills

Desired Qualifications

·         Experience integrating to and from Dynamics AX using AIF and/or services

·         Familiarity and/or experience with Dynamics AX Workflow

·         Familiarity and/or experience with Dynamics AX BI (Role Centers, KPI’s, Cubes)

·         Training experience teaching a Dynamics AX technical subject

AX Functional Analyst

Job Location: Berkeley Heights NJ

Duration: 8 Plus months contract

Required:

·         End user support request tracking and resolution

·         Gathers, analyzes, documents business requirements, business case, and any documents      required by their team

·         Supports Power user and SME in there day to day use of the system.

·         Documenting and analyzing and resolving system and process issues

·         Engage third party support for products used in the ERP system (Microsoft, third party vendor, Implementation Partner)

·         Provide direction on application functionality and options to guide the new business processes

·         Translate requirements to system design documents

·         Map business process to Dynamics AX

·         Provide solutions and recommendations to solve business needs using Microsoft Dynamics AX  or 3rd party integrated products

·         Identifies business change requirements and impacts associated with recommended design

·         Document system configurations in relations to business requirements

·         Works with the Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) to define the benefits of the system

·         Write Functional Design documentation based on business requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

·         Hands-on experience as a Dynamics AX 4.0 or 2009, 2012 Functional Analyst (Finance, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Sales, Project Accounting)

·         Working knowledge with the following Microsoft Dynamics AX functional modules: Finance and Trade and Logistics/Supply Chain

·         Proven experience in delivering Microsoft Dynamics AX training

·         Good knowledge of SQL query

·         MS Dynamics AX Report generation.

·         Strong customer interfacing skills, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

·         Good understanding of project management principles

·         Experience in global deployment of Microsoft Dynamics AX

·         Ability to work with a distributed team of subject matter experts
